Although I would love to take every last one of you fishing I simply can’t. The next best thing I can do for you beginner fly fishermen is to recommend you to a person who can take you fishing. The list of website below are my favorite guide services, blogs, and forums all related to NC fly fishing. Check these guys out and tell them I sent you.
*This list is in no order, it is simply numbered for convenience*
Ashville fly fishing co is a North Carolina based guide service dedicated to putting you on the fish. They offer full day and half day trout fishing trips. Trips are all inclusive. All gear is provided at no extra charge at all! A full day trout fishing trip will cost $450.00. For that price you get two anglers, a gourmet lunch, water, a guide, and will travel up to 10 miles of river. They offer their services on the Watauga, South Holston, Nolichucky, Tuckaseegee, French Broad, Pigeon, and Catawba Rivers.

Due South Outfitters is a fishing guide service based out of Boone, NC. They offer waking guided trips in the tail waters of North Carolina and Tennessee. A guide trip with this company will cost anywhere from $150-$350. Boone is where I began fly fishing. That's where I caught my first trout and i just absolutely love it up there I highly recommend you check these guys out
Harper creek fly fishing is a website dedicated to western North Carolina fly fishing. My favorite part about the website is that they have a database of different knots and flies that not every beginner may know. This is a real tool that can help out a fly fisherman of any experience level.
This is a blog a bit like mine except many people come to listen to this fellow fly fisherman's story. The two of us absolutely love fishing in North Carolina and will go at any chance we can get. Because of all the stories he has posted on his blog I highly recommend you go check it out.

Many fly fishermen decide to tie their own flies. It allows the fisherman to get in touch with the fish in his area. When the sun is setting on the stream and you watch a brown trout come up from the depth of the creek just to bite the fly you tied, it is all worth it. If you don't know what you're doing when it comes to tying flies then check this guy out! He has many informative articles for the beginner fly tyer and the advanced.
This is a Georgia based fishing company that offers services in southern part of North Carolina. I like these guys because of their affordable price and large guide options. They offer everything from 1 one person half day wade trip for $180 to a 2 person full day wade trip for $300.
8. NC Angler
The NC Angler is one of the most extensive fishing forums I have ever found. With thousands of post on it there is no shortage of specific information. A forum like such is perfect when you have a very specific problem. 100,000 minds is better than one. People on this sight are often very willing to help you out.
The most important thing in this world are undoubtedly the children. Why not teach them outdoors skills and take them fishing. Pass the family tradition of tying your own flies or start a new tradition. Lillard Fly Fishing focuses on 10-20 day trips for adolescent fly fishers.
This one has to be my favorite. RiverGirl fishing co. is located in Todd, NC. they cater to both kayak fisherman and wading fisherman. When I first started my epic journey all over North Carolina the first place I visited was this shop. As I walked through the door I was greeted by the owner, Kelly. Show showed my father and I just how to fish NC. Kelly set us up with wading boots and neoprene socks when she found out we were going to be wading in tennis shoes. I have never met a more insightful and kind fly shop owner or staff member. Every few trips I will stop by just to say hello. If you must visit anyone of these shops RiverGirl Fly Fishing co. will be at the top of that list.
P.S.
also check out NCBoatBros. this amazing website is chalk full of content reguarding boating and all sorts of fishing stuffs.
